making a come back...

I have not posted on the blog since March. The hectic schedules and summer have consumed all of my attention. I have been working on a bunch of projects here and there and in between. Recently I purchased a new sewing machine and have been on it ever since. There is something about starting new projects that I seem to love, but have a hard time finishing... But I'm getting there little by little. Hopefully in between trips to the pool, and never ending play dates I will get a chance to post pictures of some of the projects I have been working on. Just finished this cute shamrock cloth courtesy of Krisknits!  It really is so darned cute....It was a quick knit, and I'm thinking I have to knit me some for each holiday and season!!

My sister has been wanting a hat for so long now.  I finally finished, and it has ended up looking like this.  Originally there was going to be a purple stipe, but we went for something more girly!  Hope she likes it!! March 2009

The Makings of a first hat

This is my first attempt at making a hat.  I am using straight needles on this one and hoping for the best!  I will post the finished project as soon as I'm done.  I got this free pattern off of ravelry, and it's seems pretty easy for a first go at it.

January 2009 "New Beginnings"

Hello friends....Im new here to the blogging world.  My name is Chrissy and I am a stay at home mom to three little ones.  I have been crocheting baby blankets for friends for as long as I can remember.  My mother taught me in my younger years, and it just stuck!  Last year I taught myself how to knit, and have been loving it.  With some help and inspiration from a certain family member it has become one of my favorite things to do other than scrapping....

So here I am, a beginner knitter hoping to become more experienced as the time goes on.....
